Heritage Dance Academy was founded in 2024 by artistic director Lourdes Tamez Baker with a simple yet powerful vision: to create a place where the timeless art of classical dance could be passed down to future generations while remaining accessible to dancers of all backgrounds and experience levels.
What began as a small studio with just three classes is growing into Irving's premier dance academy. Throughout our growth, we've maintained our founding principles: rigorous technical training, artistic integrity, and a supportive community where every dancer can flourish.
Today, Heritage Dance Academy continues to honor the rich traditions of classical dance while embracing innovative teaching methods that meet the needs of today's students.
